We are thrilled to welcome Aliesha Swaby, RMT, to the Excelsior Integrative team this week, starting on October 15th, 2024! Aleisha is a registered massage therapist with extensive experience in deep tissue massage, sports massage, acute, chronic or sports injury treatment and relaxing massage. Known for her compassionate, knowledgeable and skilled approach, she truly cares about her clients’ well-being.

Aliesha’s journey into massage therapy began as a track and field athlete, where she personally experienced multiple repetitive strain injuries, from ankle sprains to hamstring and groin strains. This sparked her passion for massage therapy, leading her to pursue studies in physical and athletic therapy at the University of Mary, in Bismark, ND and later pursuing a double major in Kinesiology and Psychology at York University. Aliesha then went on to complete a massage therapy program at Trillium College, and graduating with honours in 2014.

Being the compassionate individual that she is, Aliesha has a strong background in volunteering at various clinics and events, including the People With Aids Foundation, the Asian Community Aids Society, Enbridge’s Ride to Conquer Cancer, the Shopper’s Weekend to End Women’s Cancer, and working as a coach and massage therapist with the Flying Angels Track and Field Academy. Her personal experience with sports-related injuries, combined with her educational background give her a deep understanding of her clients’ needs, and she integrates relaxation techniques into each of her treatments to maximize muscle recovery and relief.
