Melina is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, Certified Athletic Therapist, and Registered Kinesiologist with training in Kinesiology, Athletic Therapy, rehabilitation, and Manual Osteopathy. She has experience supporting clients with sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, joint and muscle tension, ACL and meniscal injuries, ankle sprains, plantar fasciitis, and mobility limitations.

Melina earned a Specialized Honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences along with Athletic Therapy at York University. She also completed her degree in Manual Osteopathy at the National Academy of Osteopathy. Melina is a certified personal trainer and aquafitness instructor.

Melina has worked in both clinical and on field settings and has worked with various sports teams over the years, such as Ryerson’s volleyball and ice hockey teams and York University’s Soccer team.

Melina has been involved with the Ontario University Athletics and Nationals medic teams multiple times and has volunteered to be on the medical team with the CWHL (Canadian Women’s Hockey League) All Star Games in 2016 and volunteered her capable hands to Humber Hospital’s rehabilitation unit, rewarding her with unique and valuable field experience! Melina thus has a great deal of experience with ACL injuries and repair ( Pre and post surgical care), Meniscal injuries, sprained and strained ankles, plantar fasciitis, and all sorts of muscle strains and sprains.

As a certified Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, Melina offers comprehensive Osteopathy sessions tailored to individual needs.

Although she has a great deal of experience with athletes and busy bodies, Melina loves to work with people from all walks of life, ranging from professional athletes to seniors.

In her spare time, you can find Melina playing soccer or swimming. She also loves to travel and spending time with her family and friends.
